新西兰前总理约翰·基： 国际社会看好中国经济发展前景

【本报综合消息】（记者 徐晓峰）4月28日至5月1日，新西兰前总理约翰·基爵士（Sir John Key）来华访问。全国政协副主席高云龙、海南省委书记冯飞等分别会见。中国人民外交学会副会长邹肖力陪同出席上述活动。

全国政协副主席高云龙28日在北京会见新西兰前总理约翰·基，介绍了2025年中国两会和中国经济发展情况。双方就共同关心的问题交换了意见。此行，约翰·基接受了中国人民外交学会微信公众号编辑部的专访，分享了他对中国发展和中新关系的看法：

我曾多次访问中国，这个国家蕴藏着巨大潜力。每次来到中国，我都能看到科技实力正在飞速提升、持续突破。中国在环境保护方面也取得了显著成效，空气质量明显改善，如今北京市民已能经常见到“北京蓝”。国际商界对中国的发展前景充满信心，我相信未来会有越来越多的人来华投资，共享中国发展红利。

新中关系发展势头强劲。中国是新西兰最大的贸易伙伴，两国合作潜力巨大。近来，新西兰民众对华好感度持续提升。我对新中关系未来充满信心，相信两国人民必将从合作中获益良多——在这个充满挑战的时代更是如此。    

高关税政策不可持续，必将损害国际贸易体系。我们希望有关国家能够找到解决问题的方式。

约翰·基爵士高度评价海南自由贸易港。他表示，海南自由贸易港发展前景广阔，机遇无限。他特别提到，耀石中国投资公司在海南设立中国总部，充分说明新西兰各界对海南自由贸易港的发展前景充满信心。

4月29日，省委书记冯飞在海口会见新西兰前总理约翰·基一行。

冯飞代表海南省委、省政府对约翰·基一行来琼表示欢迎，并介绍了海南自由贸易港建设进展。他表示，海南作为唯一的中国特色自由贸易港，正全力推进封关运作准备工作，加紧推进自由贸易港核心政策落地，努力把海南自由贸易港打造成为引领我国新时代对外开放的重要门户。封关运作之后，海南与世界各地的贸易投资将更加自由便利，期待双方深化经贸投资、金融、友城交往、教育等领域合作交流，推动取得更多务实成果。

约翰·基表示，近年每次到访海南，都能深刻感受到海南经济社会发展取得的新成就。海南自由贸易港政策力度大、开放程度高、产业有特色，发展潜力巨大、前景广阔。希望以此次来访为契机，进一步拓展新西兰与海南相关领域合作交流，同时发挥自身资源和专业优势，借助海南自由贸易港开放政策，带动更多国际资本投资海南、投资中国，更好地共享未来发展新机遇。

Former Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key: International Community Optimistic about China's Economic Development Prospects

Sir John Key, former Prime Minister of New Zealand visited China from April 28 to May 1. Mr. Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Mr. Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China met with him respectively. Amb. Zou Xiaoli, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) was present at the meetings. Sir John Key was interviewed by the WeChat public account editorial board of the CPIFA. He shared his observations about China’s development and China-New Zealand relations:

"I visited China many times. There is tremendous potential in China. Whenever I come to China, all I see is rapidly growing and expanding technology capability. China has also done a lot in terms of environmental protection. There is a lot of improvement. Now people can almost see Beijing Blue everyday. The international business community is optimistic about China’s growth prospects. I believe there will be more and more people coming to China to invest and share the benefits of China’s development. 

The relationship between New Zealand and China is very strong. China is New Zealand’s largest trading partner. There is big opportunity for cooperation between New Zealand and China. In recent days, New Zealand people are thinking much more fondly about China. I am very confident in the future of New Zealand-China relations. I believe both people will benefit a lot from our cooperation, especially in this complicated time. 

The high tariffs are unsustainable, and will do harm to the international trading system. We hope the countries involved could find a way out. "

Sir John key also spoke highly of Hainan Free Trade Port. He said, Hainan Free Trade Port has broad development prospects and unlimited opportunities. He particularly highlighted that Key Capital setting up its China headquarters in Hainan fully demonstrates that all sectors in New Zealand are full of confidence in the development prospects of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
